Action 1: Phone Bank to voters in Wisconsin
Action 2: Justice for Jayland Walker, Wednesday 6PM
Action 1: Phone Bank to voters in Wisconsin
This weekend, we saw yet another senseless shooting, this time close to home in Highland Park. Up north in Wisconsin, Senator Ron Johnson has taken 1.3 million dollars from the NRA to ensure his vote against any common sense gun law.
Whether it's gun violence prevention or the assault on reproproductive freedom, Ron Johnson must go.
We've teamed up with WisDems to reach voters who lean Democratic but don't always vote. We'll be emphasizing the importance of voting in 2022, encouraging them to apply for mail-in ballots, answering questions when we can, and directing them to WisDems' excellent voter hotline.
This is an online event and our phone bank leaders will be with you every step of the way as you make calls.

Action 2: Justice for Jayland Walker!
Join Chicago Alliance Against Racist and Political Repression this Wednesday at 6 PM to demand justice for Jayland Walker, his family and his community.
Akron, Ohio police fired over 90 shots at Jayland Walker during a traffic stop, striking him more than 60 times. Most of these shots came while he was down, and Akron police handcuffed him while he lay lifeless on the ground. The video of this killing was recently released following a week of demonstrations in Akron, Ohio.
We are heeding the call of the National Alliance Against Racist and Political Repression, and joining with chapters across the country to demonstrate demanding justice in the case of this brutal lynching. Come out and join us!
We are demanding:
* Fire and Indict all officers involved in the shooting of Jayland Walker
* The DOJ launch an immediate investigation into the shooting of Jayland Walker
* Community Control of the Police Now!
The whole damn system is guilty as hell! Come out!
