Action 1: TONIGHT - WI Voter Registration Training
We know: you’re busy, you’re shy, you don’t think one person can make much difference...well, here’s some election work that pretty much knocks down any barriers that might have kept you from joining the campaign. You can help register Wisconsin voters from the comfort of your own home on your own time!
Wisconsin will be all about the turnout. If we want to get rid of Ron Johnson and protect Governor Tony Evers (our only defense against Republican election atrocities), we need to register more voters.
Our partners at Rust Belt Rising are mailing an application and motivational instructions to key unregistered voters, and then we’re making follow-up calls encouraging and helping them to complete their registration. This effort registered thousands of voters in 2020.
Now we need your help to expand the Wisconsin voter rolls for this November. Our training will get you comfortable with the process, and once you're trained you can make these calls on your own schedule.
Join a virtual training session TONIGHT, Wednesday, August 31 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Can’t make that session? Additional Wednesday & Saturday dates are available throughout September and October!

Action 2: TOMORROW - How Champaign County Flipped From Red To Blue
Prior to the 2018 election, all of Champaign County's countywide offices were held by Republicans, except for State's Attorney. In 2018, all of the seats that were up for election flipped to Democrats. In 2020, the rest of the offices flipped, except for Coroner.
How did that happen? Not by itself. A lot of volunteers worked very hard.
At this meeting, you will hear from:
Esther Patt, a long time voting rights activist, as well as an abortion rights activist. Her novel, and very practical idea, Adopt-A-Precinct, was a game changer.
Sheriff Dustin Heuerman is the first Democratic sheriff in Champaign County since the 1930s. AND, he is the first openly LGBTQ sheriff of Champaign County ever.
Marci Adelston-Schafer, a co-lead of the Indivisible Rural Illinois group, who is a strong proponent of collaboration among local Democratic campaigns.
