Monday, August 8 - Wisconsin Text Bank TONIGHT / Phone Banks This Week

Actions You Can Take Today

Action 1: TONIGHT - Wisconsin Text Banking

Text banking is a way to reach out to hundreds of voters all at once, from the comfort of your own home. New to the concept? Don’t worry, we’ll train you and stick with you throughout the session to guide you and answer questions. This week we’re texting ahead of the Wisconsin primary to support Lieutenant Governor Mandela Barnes, Indivisible’s choice to take on Ron Johnson and pick up a Senate seat.

Join the next text banking session on Monday, August 8 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. We’ll soon be scheduling more texting and training events for later in the summer. Or go to our volunteer page and check the box for texting to be informed of future opportunities.

Action 2: Phone Banks This Week!

There are THREE opportunities to phone bank this week to help build our 2022 progressive coalition!

TONIGHT - Wisconsin Primary GOTV Phone Bank at 6 p.m. Want to counter Wisconsin's egregious gerrymandering? Protect Governor Tony Evers, our last defense against Republican election chicanery? Send Ron Johnson back under the rock he crawled out from? Then join us in the final hours before primary day. A big vote here lays the groundwork for a happy November.

TOMORROW - Phone bank for Lauren Underwood Tuesday at 6 p.m. We backed Lauren Underwood in her first run for Congress, in 2018, and since the she has been making us proud and impressing her constituents. But her district has been redrawn to include many voters who are not familiar with her accomplishments. And the the Rs will be coming after her this fall with all the dark money and name-calling they can muster. Help us get her story out in our weekly phone bank.

Saturday, August 13 at 4 p.m. (Indivisible Illinois-sponsored) We'll be phone-bank partying every Saturday until the Saturday before the November election for candidates like Lauren Underwood, Cindy Cunningham, and Debbie Davis.

Can’t make it this week? See all upcoming phone banks.

While some of these Daily Actions come from our own work as Indivisible Chicago Alliance, others are from our many partners working to advance the progressive agenda. We invite you to join us in supporting their work. Postings from partners do not imply Indivisible Chicago Alliance endorsement of specific policies and positions.
