Action 1: Improve Access to Mammograms in IL
A new bill, introduced by Illinois State Representative Nabeela Syed, HB4180, aims to improve access to mammograms and breast imaging, potentially impacting healthcare for many. The proposed provisions, including wider age coverage for mammography and requirements for molecular breast imaging, are steps toward better breast cancer care.
We must prioritize early detection and quality care.

Action 2: How to Help Migrants in Chicago
Texas governor Greg Abbott has cruelly been bussing thousands of asylum seekers to Chicago with no warning, no resources, and no support system. Since August of 2022, more than 18,000 migrants have arrived in Chicago. Chicago has stepped up to shelter as many migrants as possible, but these vulnerable families need our help. According to Block Club Chicago, nearly 11,000 are being housed in temporary city-run shelters, while thousands are sleeping in police stations and city airports.
As winter approaches and temperatures have already started to drop, there are many ways for Chicagoans to help this at-risk community. Block Club Chicago has compiled a list of places to donate to this holiday season to help migrants in Chicago. If you have the means, please consider supporting one of these organizations through monetary or item donations.
