Monday, November 6 - Pass Karina’s Bill / Phone Bank for Ketucky

Action You Can Take Today

Action 1: Pass Karina’s Bill

Last week, Karina's bill, SB 2633, was introduced in the Illinois Senate, which would clarify and strengthen the law to require a firearm to be removed when a domestic violence survivor is granted the firearm remedy in an order of protection. This comes on the heels of yet another recent domestic violence shooting.

This bill is incredibly important. Risk of intimate-partner homicide increases by 500% when abusers have access to a gun. That's why we need to pass Karina’s Bill ASAP!
