After the election on Tuesday, it’s important that we as a community come together to reflect, discuss, plan, and take action to support LGBTQ+ communities across our state. We invite you to join Equality Illinois next Tuesday, November 12 at 5 p.m., for a virtual conversation with LGBTQ+ experts, advocates, and community leaders.
During the conversation, we will share current information about state and local election results in Illinois as well as ways you can take action at this time. Please register here.

Action 2: Tell Biden to Protect Our Democracy
The election results have sparked fear among vulnerable communities and action is needed to protect us from what is to come. Now is the time to urge President Biden to leave no stone unturned, in his remaining time in office, in prioritizing swift and decisive actions that will:
Protect vulnerable individuals and communities who may be targeted or left behind by a Trump administration
Protect the public agencies, career civil servants, and other government institutions that serve the people of the United States
Protect democracy and safeguard voting rights, so the American people can continue to freely exercise our freedoms–most notably, the freedoms to speak, assemble, protest, and once again cast our ballots in free and fair elections.
In the last four years, the Biden administration has made monumental strides toward making the country a more inclusive and equitable place. Now is the time to tell President Biden to protect our democracy and our rights while he still can.
