Friday, March 22 - Kenosha Canvassing 3/30 / Call for a Permanent Ceasefire

Actions You Can Take

Action 1: Kenosha Canvassing 3/30

Rested up from the Chicago Election? Canvass in Kenosha March 30, to GOTV for Wisconsin's April 2 election.

Kenosha is sooo close, only 70 minutes away on a Saturday AM. Our neighbors could use our energy to defeat local MAGA; continue to build toward reelecting Senator Tammy Baldwin and President Biden. And who knows, perhaps flip Wisconsin’s Congressional District 1 in November!

Last cycle we helped Kenosha go Blue for Judge Janet Protasiewicz. And now Wisconsin has legislative maps that will eventually really reflect the voters of Wisconsin. We all remember the 2016 and 2020 Presidential elections in Wisconsin: our winning margin was a handful of votes per precinct. We can help maintain or grow that difference! Defend Senator Baldwin, keep President Biden, and defeat local MAGA on school boards and as county supervisors.

Join the Canvass in Kenosha on Saturday, March 30!

Action 2: Demand a Permanent Ceasefire

The ongoing Israeli bombardment and blockade in Gaza has resulted in the deaths of over 31,000 Palestinians, including more than 12,300 children, with 1.5 million people displaced in unimaginable conditions. The Famine Review Committee reported this week that Gaza is facing “imminent famine,” and we are about to witness the most intense famine since the second world war. Children are already dying of malnutrition, and many more will die if Isreal does not allow more aid to enter the country and continues shooting at Palestinians trying to collect food.

We urge our members of Congress to support an immediate ceasefire, to ensure humanitarian aid to residents of Gaza, to continue to demand the release of all hostages, and to block US military aid to Israel that would cause additional civilian deaths in Gaza. Please join us by contacting your Representative, and Senators Duckworth and Durbin with these same demands. Call them daily—it makes a difference!

While some of these Daily Actions come from our own work as Indivisible Chicago Alliance, others are from our many partners working to advance the progressive agenda. We invite you to join us in supporting their work. Postings from partners do not imply Indivisible Chicago Alliance endorsement of specific policies and positions.
