Action 1: Rally for Anthony Gay on 4/4
Anthony Gay is a political prisoner who spent 22 years in solitary confinement in Illinois prisons. He fought to free himself and upon release began a fight to end the unfettered abuse of solitary throughout Illinois prisons. In response to his activism, he was targeted by the Rock Island Police Department and sentenced to 7 years in federal prison on a false gun charge. He is appealing that decision and has been waiting for nearly a year for his first appeal hearing, which is coming up on April 4th. We need to show up to support Anthony and show the court that the people will not stand for this targeting of Anthony and violation of his rights.
Join us to rally outside his appeal hearing at 8:30 AM!

Action 2: Demand a Permanent Ceasefire
The ongoing Israeli bombardment and blockade in Gaza has resulted in the deaths of over 32,000 Palestinians, including more than 12,300 children, with 1.5 million people displaced in unimaginable conditions. The Famine Review Committee reported this week that Gaza is facing “imminent famine,” and we are about to witness the most intense famine since the second world war. Children are already dying of malnutrition, and many more will die if Isreal does not allow more aid to enter the country.
We urge our members of Congress to support an immediate ceasefire, to ensure humanitarian aid to residents of Gaza, to continue to demand the release of all hostages, and to block US military aid to Israel that would cause additional civilian deaths in Gaza. Please join us by contacting your Representative, and Senators Duckworth and Durbin with these same demands. Call them daily—it makes a difference!
Senator Duckworth | DC: 202-224-2854 | Chicago 312-886-3506 | Email Sen. Duckworth or call another office
Senator Durbin | DC: 202-224-2152 | Chicago 312-353-4952 | Email Sen. Durbin or call another office
