Actions You Can Take

Action 1: Kina Collins Meet and Greet Saturday

Once again, Indivisible Chicago Alliance is enthusiastically backing Kina Collins for the 7th District Congressional seat held by longtime incumbent Danny Davis. Kina is a lifelong activist and nationally recognized gun violence prevention and health care advocate. As a national organizer for Medicare For All and founder of the Chicago Neighborhood Alliance, Kina built a track record of policy making, coalition building, and working with communities to improve public health and safety.

This district, with some of the city’s most under-served communities, needs fresh leadership, as much as many—but not
all—of us respect Davis’ decades of service. We backed Kina two years ago, and our grassroots support helped boost her to within just a couple points of victory. This year we know she can win—if we do the work.

Meet Kina this Saturday, March 9th from 11am-1pm! We’re hosting a meet-and-greet/canvass launch with Kina and Julian Casablancas, lead singer of the indie rock band, The Strokes at Cobra Lounge (235 N Ashland Ave, Chicago). Sign up here or choose another date to canvass or phone bank anytime.

Action 2: Activism 101 with Jessica Craven (3/12)

Jessica Craven, author of the terrific daily email, Chop Wood, Carry Water will present her webinar on Activism 101 including guidance on strategic giving. Hosted by Indivisible Evanston, Indivisible Illinois, and Indivisible Chicago Alliance.

Join the virtual event on Tuesday, March 12 at 7 p.m.

While some of these Daily Actions come from our own work as Indivisible Chicago Alliance, others are from our many partners working to advance the progressive agenda. We invite you to join us in supporting their work. Postings from partners do not imply Indivisible Chicago Alliance endorsement of specific policies and positions.
