Monday, May 13 - Demand the Supreme Court Deny Immunity for Criminal Acts / Training for Milwaukee Voter Project

Actions You Can Take

Action 1: #Justice Can’t Wait for Defendant Trump

Justice can’t wait! We believe that the former president must stand trial for the insurrection he attempted after he lost the election in 2020. We want that trial to be completed before the election this November so that voters know the outcome before they cast their vote.

But Trump’s January 6th criminal trial can’t take place until the Supreme Court rules on the preposterous question of whether a president is immune from criminal charges committed while president, but not for official acts. In this case, of course, the charge is criminal conspiracy to overthrow an election.

It seems apparent that some justices are deliberately helping delay Trump’s criminal trial -- by accepting the absurd immunity case in the first place and then by delaying their ruling. We cannot allow justice delayed to become democracy destroyed.

Time is short, so raise your voice and act now! Sign this petition from the Women's March calling on the Supreme Court to rule on and reject the immunity claim by May 20.

Action 2: TOMORROW - Training for Milwaukee Voter Project

There's still time to get involved with the Milwaukee Voter Project (MVP) and help to register voters in comfortable, indoor offices in Milwaukee.
We are  a grassroots group of non-partisan volunteers who are working to ensure that all citizens, especially those in under-served communities, are registered to vote and are aware of upcoming elections. We register voters in warm, indoor offices (DMV’s) in Milwaukee disadvantaged neighborhoods and give citizens the opportunity to register to vote.
Training sessions last about an hour and are via Zoom.

Attend the next training on Tuesday, May 14 - 1:30pm - 2:30pm by sending an email to info@milwaukeevoterproject.org.
