Wednesday November 6

Dear Friends,

We certainly hoped to be sending a very different message this morning. All of us–all of you–did so much work over many months and many years together, and we should feel good about that.  We are all processing everything we feel right now.  As someone said this morning, it wouldn’t hurt this much if we didn’t care so much.  We urge you to take care of yourselves and take care of our communities.

Over the coming weeks, we will make plans to move forward and take action to organize safely, to look out for those who are most vulnerable and will be under greatest attack, to resist whatever is coming, and to continue to fight to build the movement and just world that we want to see.  Please look for upcoming emails from us as we create spaces to do this collaboratively. Together we will fight with more leaders, more activists, and more and new ideas.

In the meantime, there are two calls this week that we want to make you aware of:

  • The national Indivisible organization is holding a post-election call this evening Wednesday, November 6, at 7:30 pm CT. You can sign up for that call with this link.

  • Indivisible Chicago has joined with more than 100 other national progressive groups for a post-election virtual event, “Making Meaning of the Moment", on Thursday, November 7, at 7PM Central. Speakers will include Congresswoman Pramila Jayapal and Indivisible's Leah Greenberg. Please use this link to register.

Please reach out to us at info@indivisiblechicago.com. We look forward to being in community and taking action with all of you.
