Partner Action: Oppose Kash Patel and the FBI Purge
Now is the time to call lawmakers to urge them to stop the Trump/Musk's FBI purge and vote NO on Kash Patel's confirmation to keep your children and families safe. The FBI purge will not only impact our national security but gun safety. The FBI administers the National Instant Background Check System, investigates potential active shooting incidents, provides active shooter response training to law enforcement partners, and offers operational and victim assistance after mass shootings.
Call on Senators today to oppose the FBI purge and vote NO on Kash Patel:

ICA Action: Rally TODAY to Stop Trump’s Power Grab
In the first two weeks of Trump’s presidency, Democrats have too often engaged in bi-partisanship, supporting his anti-immigrant bill and nominees. They've largely remained silent on his racist, homophobic, transphobic, and xenophobic Executive Orders.
Now, a significant power grab is underway. Trump has signed an Executive Order to shut down federal loans and grants, a power that belongs to Congress. Plus, Elon Musk has gained illegal access to the Treasury Department. This is a coup, and we need our Senators to act NOW.
Can't join us? That's okay, because we have a job for you. While we are making our voices heard outside their offices, and are delivering our letter inside the office, we want you to be calling their office. Between 12 pm and 1pm, we want their phones ringing off the hook. Set an alarm to remind you to call during lunch.
Today, we want you to call and email your Senators and tell them they need to vote NO on all of Trump’s remaining nominees and use all procedure power they have to slow the votes.

ICA Action: Immigration Brief TODAY & 2/10
Since, the Trump administration announced an immigration enforcement blitz in Chicago, there has been confirmed activity by federal agents in many neighborhoods across the area.
This is a frightening time for directly impacted communities in Chicago, and it’s important that everyone understands how to respond. To help as allies in the fight to protect our immigrant neighbors, Indivisible Chicago is hosting an event aimed at providing Indivisible Chicago members with the knowledge needed to respond appropriately in this moment.
👉Join us TONIGHT for a virtual session or on Monday, February 10th for a discussion on immigration history, threats, and potential impact on vulnerable communities across the greater Chicagoland area and beyond, and how we as allies can take action in this moment. Agenda items will include "Know Your Rights" overview, advocacy at the state and city level, and Rapid Response.
While some of these Daily Actions come from our own work as Indivisible Chicago Alliance, others are from our many partners working to advance the progressive agenda. We invite you to join us in supporting their work. Postings from partners do not imply Indivisible Chicago Alliance endorsement of specific policies and positions.
