Thursday, March 13 - Hands Off Our Passports / Thank Senate Dems / Don't Cut Medicaid Phonebank
Partner Action: Hands Off Our Passports!
From Day 1, the Trump Administration has relentlessly attacked transgender people's basic freedoms and the State Department is denying accurate passports to trans, intersex, and nonbinary people.
All of us need accurate and consistent identity documents that reflect who we are. Banning accurate IDs and forcing trans people to out themselves whenever they show an ID will only push trans people out of public life and expose us to discrimination and violence.
👉 Tell the State Department: Everyone deserves accurate passports that match who we are. These attacks on trans, intersex, and nonbinary Americans must be stopped.
If you’re concerned about having your name on record, you can submit comments anonymously on the federal register website:
Application For Passport (DS-11) (deadline 3/17/25)
Renewal Application (DS-82), (deadline 3/20/25)
Your input matters! It is most impactful to add in your own reasons why the State Department should not ban people from getting passports that match who they are.

Partner Action: Thank Senate Dems for Holding the Line
The government shuts down on March 14 unless Congress passes a new spending bill. Yesterday, Democratic Senators held the line and refused to pass the terrible MAGA continuing resolution (CR) that makes extreme cuts that will jeopardize Social Security, leave tens of thousands of families without homes or food, and slashes benefits to veterans.
👉 Call your Senators today and say THANK YOU and KEEP HOLDING THE LINE!

ICA Action: Don't Cut Medicaid Phone Banking 3/15
In February, the GOP-controlled House voted on a Budget Resolution to cut $880 billion, threatening Medicaid for over 72 million Americans. In Illinois, this impacts nearly half our children, two-thirds of seniors in nursing homes, and 40% of pregnancies.
These cuts are aimed at funding tax giveaways to the ultra-wealthy, with no evidence of “trickle-down” benefits. This budget is not final, and we need to act NOW!
We're calling constituents in Congressman Bost’s District IL-12 to say NO CUTS TO MEDICAID. Join our Indivisible phone bank with the HealthCare Working Group to make a difference. Sign up for training and the Zoom link!
👉 Join the phone bank on Saturday, March 15, 1 – 3pm
