Partner Action: Tell Senate Dems to Keep Holding The Line!

URGENT: CALL YOUR SENATORS RIGHT NOW!

Senate Republicans need Democratic votes to pass a new spending bill, but instead of negotiating, they’re pushing a MAGA continuing resolution (CR) with extreme cuts that threaten Social Security and leave families homeless or hungry.

This isn’t a “clean” CR; it’s a slush fund that empowers Trump and Musk over federal spending. Among other things, it would authorize the Musk/Trump administration to do whatever it wants to all federal agencies and could also result in the dismissal of lawsuits challenging their actions that we have so far been winning.

Almost every House Democrat voted NO on this CR, and now it’s time for Senate Democrats to keep making a stand. They must insist on a clean, short-term CR to keep the government open without giving a blank check to the wealthy. If Democrats remain united and Republicans choose a shutdown, they will own the consequences.

👉 Tell Senators to stay strong and KEEP HOLDING THE LINE!  Vote NO on cloture until there’s enough support for a clean 30-day CR.

Partner Action: WI Supreme Court Phone Bank Sunday

Help us protect Wisconsin’s Liberal Supreme Court Majority on April 1st! Your support helped Justice Janet Protasiewicz win, and now we need you to back Susan Crawford for a crucial seat on the WI Supreme Court.

Judge Crawford is running to replace retiring Justice Ann Walsh Bradley. A win keeps the court's 4-3 liberal majority intact, while a loss to MAGA-backed Brad Schimel could flip it conservative for a decade. This election will shape the future of freedom, democracy, and workers’ rights, impacting abortion access, voting rights, legislative maps, and collective bargaining. Let’s stand together to secure a progressive future!

👉 Join Indivisible Illinois for a Rockin' Zoom Phone Bank Party on Sunday, March 16 from 4-5:30 pm.

Partner Action: IL Health Care Transparency Act

Imagine, you go to your primary care provider and request a prescription for HRT only to find out that your doctor doesn't believe in providing that care. Or, you go to the hospital for abnormal bleeding and pain to find out that the hospital you've gone to refuses to provide a medically necessary abortion or hysterectomy. The medical facility is imposing their own beliefs and biases on the treatment of their patients without the ability for the patient to provide educated consent prior to investing their time, money, and energy on seeking treatment at that facility.

No one should spend time, money, and emotional energy seeking health care only to be unexpectedly turned away by hospitals. The Health Care Transparency Act would require hospitals to disclose to patients the LGBTQ+ care, reproductive care, and end-of -life care services they do not provide for non-medical reasons. Patients across Illinois would be empowered to better make decisions about where to seek health care because they would have access to information about the services that hospitals refuse to provide.
