Phone banking has always been one of our most important tools. Now, updated through necessity during COVID, it’s more effective and efficient than ever. Gathering and training on Zoom, using new call technology that can dial and even screen calls for us, we’re able to make thousands of calls per shift. Working from home saves us travel time and allows more people to participate. And by partnering with other groups we can influence races and issues far and wide, choosing the fights that need us most.
Indivisible Chicago phone banks attract people from all over the country—volunteers who thank and praise us for our thorough training, individual attention, and the camaraderie that develops in our Zoom rooms, where we learn from and encourage each other.
Whether we’re calling to support progressive candidates, recruit poll workers, or help voters contact their state lawmakers in support of expanding voter access, these are high-impact phone banks.
