Action 2: Public Comment to Protect Trans Children’s Rights

Joe Biden has proposed a change to Title IX to protect the rights of trans children in schools, and the proposal is open for public comment. The comments are currently being flooded by anti-trans misinformation and bigotry. NOW is your chance to stand up for trans rights!

Take a few minutes today to leave a public comment on this proposed change. Some points to consider for your comments:

• Title IX has protected women’s rights for decades. As our understanding of sex and gender continues to change, we must also protect the rights of trans and gender-nonconforming children in schools. They, too, have a right to an education and our protection.

• The proposed rule is a necessary change that is within the rights of the Department of Education to protect all children in schools.
