More about Reid:

Reid has been active in progressive activism and Democratic politics in Illinois since 2017. He helped lead the Coalition for a Better IL-6, which was instrumental in flipping the IL-6 Congressional District in 2018. In 2019, Reid co-founded Postcards to Swing States, whose volunteers wrote 21 million postcards to voters in 2020. Postcards to Swing States became part of Progressive Turnout Project in 2021, and Reid left a 15-year career in operations management at McMaster-Carr in Elmhurst to direct the program full time. Reid earned a BA in English and Economics from Washington University in St. Louis. He lives in Hinsdale, IL with his wife, Alyson, and two elementary school aged daughters.

Action 2: TONIGHT and Tomorrow: Phone bank for Lauren Underwood and Wisconsin

Election Day 2022 is fast approaching, and we need YOUR help! There are three opportunities to make phone calls to eligible voters from your own home. Sign up for a phone bank shift and make a difference next week!

Action 3: TONIGHT Postcard Party

We're back at Gideon Welles every Tuesday evening from 6:30 to 8:00pm, writing postcards to get our voters to the polls in November. We'll be starting with postcards to voters for the critical IL Supreme Court races before transitioning to some critical Congressional races.

If you can sign up in advance, it helps us let our GW hosts know how many people to expect but last-minute walk-ins are always welcome. Donations are welcome, either monetary or in the form of postcard stamps. We look forward to seeing you there!

While some of these Daily Actions come from our own work as Indivisible Chicago Alliance, others are from our many partners working to advance the progressive agenda. We invite you to join us in supporting their work. Postings from partners do not imply Indivisible Chicago Alliance endorsement of specific policies and positions.
