Wednesday, September 28th - Texting Party for Lauren Underwood / Wisconsin Canvass

Actions You Can Take Today

Action 1: Texting Party for Lauren Underwood

Join us for our second Indivisible texting party to re-elect Congresswoman Lauren Underwood (IL-14) for her third term on Thursday, September 29 from 2:00-4:00 CT.

We backed her in 2018 when she flipped this seat from red to blue, and since then she has been making us proud and impressing her constituents. But her district has been redrawn to include many voters who are not familiar with her accomplishments. And her opponent will be coming after her with all the dark money and name-calling he can muster.

So sign up for this texting party and help us get the word out about Lauren to her IL-14 voters and encourage them to vote early! After signing up here, you will receive a confirmation email about registering for the texting party Zoom and how to sign up for our texting software. Training will be included at the start of the event, so both new and veteran 2020 texters are all welcome!

Action 2: Wisconsin Canvass on 10/1

Wisconsin election results may determine the future of our country. Wisconsin statewide elections tend to be won by less than 1% of votes. A little extra help from us this midterm may be critical. We can help flip a US Senate seat from MAGA Ron Johnson to progressive Mandela Barnes and support the reelection of Gov. Evers whose veto holds back the extreme GOP gerrymandered legislature.

We will be joining Indivisible Milwaukee and WisDems in south Milwaukee--talking to inconsistent Democratic voters to make sure they vote.

We will arrange carpools from Chicago, and pair you with a veteran canvasser if this is your first time or you need a refresher.

We will meet in Milwaukee at 9am for a 9:00 am -12:00 pm shift.  If you don't have a car, we will arrange a ride for you.

While some of these Daily Actions come from our own work as Indivisible Chicago Alliance, others are from our many partners working to advance the progressive agenda. We invite you to join us in supporting their work. Postings from partners do not imply Indivisible Chicago Alliance endorsement of specific policies and positions.
