Actions You Can Take Today
Action 1: Michigan Canvassing on Sunday, September 18 — carpools available
Volunteer for the midterm elections: phone banks, text banks, canvassing, postcards, and more!
Action 2: TONIGHT - Wisconsin Voter Registration program training on Wednesday, September 7 at 6 p.m. (virtual event)
Action 1: Michigan Canvassing on 9/18
Next door in Michigan, the fight is on right now to preserve access to abortion and save democracy in this key battleground state. Gov. Gretchen Whitmer is all that stands in the way of a right-wing Republican legislature seeking to criminalize abortion and subvert free and fair elections.
Join us for a day of door knocking and talking to voters about issues that matter to us all. For those interested in carpooling, we'll be meeting at Backlot Coffee, 3982 N Avondale Ave, for a 7:30 am departure (everyone will be asked to test for covid and wear masks).
Can’t make it? Sign up for election 2022 volunteer opportunities
Action 2: TONIGHT - WI Voter Registration Training
We know: you’re busy, you’re shy, you don’t think one person can make much difference...well, here’s some election work that pretty much knocks down any barriers that might have kept you from joining the campaign. You can help register Wisconsin voters from the comfort of your own home on your own time!
Wisconsin will be all about the turnout. If we want to get rid of Ron Johnson and protect Governor Tony Evers (our only defense against Republican election atrocities), we need to register more voters.
Our partners at Rust Belt Rising are mailing an application and motivational instructions to key unregistered voters, and then we’re making follow-up calls encouraging and helping them to complete their registration. This effort registered thousands of voters in 2020.
Now we need your help to expand the Wisconsin voter rolls for this November. Our training will get you comfortable with the process, and once you're trained you can make these calls on your own schedule.
Join a virtual training session TONIGHT, Wednesday, September 7 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Can’t make that session? Additional Wednesday & Saturday dates are available throughout September and October!
