Action 1: Tuesday Postcard Parties Start 9/13
We're back at Gideon Welles every Tuesday evening from 6:30 to 8:00pm, writing postcards to get our voters to the polls in November. We'll be starting with postcards to voters for the critical IL Supreme Court races before transitioning to some critical Congressional races.
If you can sign up in advance, it helps us let our GW hosts know how many people to expect but last-minute walk-ins are always welcome. Donations are welcome, either monetary or in the form of postcard stamps. We look forward to seeing you there!
Action 2: Text Bank For Lauren Underwood 9/15
Sign up here for our first texting party to re-elect Congresswoman Lauren Underwood (IL-14) for her third term on Thursday, September 15 from 6:00-8:00 CT.
We backed Lauren in 2018 when she flipped this seat from red to blue, and since then she has been making us proud and impressing her constituents. But her district has been redrawn to include many voters who are not familiar with her accomplishments. And her opponent will be coming after her with all the dark money and name-calling he can muster.
So sign up for this texting party and help us get the word out about Lauren to IL-14 voters! After signing up, you will receive a confirmation email about registering for the texting party Zoom and how to sign up for our texting software, TextOut. Training will be included at the start of the event, so both new and veteran 2020 texters are all welcome!
