Friday, March 17 - Volunteer for Brandon Johnson / Stop Dirty Banks in Chicago (3/21)

Action You Can Take Today

Action 1: Volunteer for Brandon Johnson

The time is now to end the parade of Mayors who put corporate interests ahead of people, protected failed policing policies, and perpetuated a city that works best for its wealthiest residents.

Brandon Johnson stands alone in this race as a leader whose progressive policies will create opportunities and a Chicago that works for us all. This is why the Indivisible Chicago Alliance Council has voted unanimously to endorse Brandon Johnson for Mayor.

His opponent, Paul Vallas, would trample civil rights with failed policing strategies, has a catastrophic record of mismanagement that runs educational systems into the ground, and is backed by right-wing extremists. He is a dangerous choice for Chicago.

Please click here for the news release we issued to announce our endorsement. It details the compelling case for electing Brandon Johnson to lead our city in a bold new direction.

Share the details about the exciting change Johnson will bring to our city, and make sure your family, friends and neighbors understand the importance of voting in this election.

But it’s not enough to talk about why we support Johnson and fear Paul Vallas’ extremist platform. With national MAGA donors pouring money into Vallas’ coffers, we must actively campaign for the policies we believe in. We have to do the work.

Sign up now to help boost voter turnout for Brandon Johnson by joining phone banks, canvassing, and other activities scheduled in the few short weeks before the April 4 runoff. Wear your Indivisible gear and look for our Indivisible leaders who will be there to support your work.

Action 2: Stop Dirty Banks in Chicago (3/21)

We demand that JP Morgan Chase cease using our deposits to finance climate change through its investment in the fossil fuel industry.

Illinois Third Act members, our friends, and allies will gather at the JP Morgan Chase Bank Plaza in downtown Chicago at 11:00am on March 21, 2023 to make this point loud and clear. We must act now and act together to move the world in a more sustainable direction. Our lives, the lives of our children and our planet depend on it.

Action via Third Act

While some of these Daily Actions come from our own work as Indivisible Chicago Alliance, others are from our many partners working to advance the progressive agenda. We invite you to join us in supporting their work. Postings from partners do not imply Indivisible Chicago Alliance endorsement of specific policies and positions.
