Action 1: Blue Thursday Fun Fest with Jon Langford
Blue Thursday is our monthly political mixer at the Hideout, the coolest bar in town.
We're putting the political talk aside this month for an evening of political entertainment. Guests include our comrade Jon Langford, beatbox harmonica whiz Yuri Lane, actor-activist Carla Stillwell, and comedy from our longtime friends in the Chicago improv community. Mix and mingle starting at 5:00, show begins at 6:00. All are welcome, admission is free, but please RSVP here.
If you can't join us in person, watch the livestream on our Facebook page or catch the recorded version on 820 WCPT, Chicago's Progressive Talk.

Action 2: American Hospitals Documentary on 7/23
Indivisible Evanston, in conjunction with Physicians for a National Health Program, is pleased to present a special screening of "American Hospitals - Healing a Broken System," on July 23, 2023 - 2:30 - 5:00 at the Evanston Public Library, 1702 Orrington Avenue, Evanston.
This provocative film takes a deep dive into the out-of-control cost of hospitals and their transformation into a money-driven big business. How can we incentivize hospitals to provide the highest quality care with the lowest affordable cost to the community? The film identifies innovative solutions that deserve national attention to restore hospitals to their historic focus on community health at affordable cost.
Afterwards, we'll have a Q&A session featuring members of Physicians for a National Health Program, the Illinois Nurses Association, and a registered occupational therapist.
