It’s been a difficult couple weeks for all of us. We all fought for four years to defeat Trump and get him out of office. Then, again, we all worked to try to elect Kamala. But despite our great efforts, Trump was once again elected.
And now we watch cabinet nominations roll out that range between appalling and unqualified (usually a mix of both), and it’s hard to feel hopeful. And that’s by design, as fascism requires us to lose hope. But despite being out of power, we still have levers we all can pull in the coming years and we are ready to fight back.
Here at Indivisible Chicago, we started working the day after the election was called, and we can see that we aren’t alone. In the aftermath of the election, we have seen a surge in signups unlike anything we’ve seen since the early days of 2017. As we continue to grow our membership for the battle ahead, we want to know more about you. Could you take a minute to fill out this form and let us know how you want help us take action?

Some of us are ready to jump back into the fray and some of us are still in mourning. And frankly, some of us are just exhausted after eight years of this mess. However you are feeling, we hope you will join us for one of our community gatherings to talk about where we all are right now, deepen our bonds for the challenges ahead, and orient ourselves as we look towards the road ahead.
