Actions You Can Take

Action 1: Indivisible Chicago knocking door in May to win in November

Sign up today for May canvasses in both Wisconsin and Michigan:

May 4 in Wisconsin

May 12 in Michigan

The case for canvassing couldn't be clearer.

The 2024 election is likely to be decided by a few thousand voters in a handful of swing states. Two of them, Michigan and Wisconsin, are in our backyard, with voters a little over one hour's drive away from Chicago.

Indivisible Chicago is going to knock on their doors.

Nothing has more impact on elections than one-to-one voter conversations and you could be the one to turn out crucial voters this fall.

Indivisible Chicago specializes in making it easy to canvass, with expert training, background materials, meticulous logistics, and dozens of veteran canvassers who will walk with you and show you the ropes. We’ll even get you a ride if you need one.

So sign up today to help make the biggest difference possible in what is, once again, the most important election of our lifetime.

Check the ICA calendar for additional upcoming canvass dates in both states.

Action 2: ICA Canvass training kicks off

With the 2024 election likely to be decided by a few thousand voters in a handful of swing states, Indivisible Chicago is gearing up to knock doors and talk to voters in Michigan and Wisconsin communities a little over one hour’s drive from Chicago.

Canvasses are scheduled in both Wisconsin and Michigan in May. Check the ICA calendar for upcoming canvass dates in both states.

To prepare volunteers, we’re offering canvass training for anyone who has never done it before or who can just use a refresher. Training sessions are being hosted by Indivisible Chicago chapters but are open to activists across the city. We’ve also invited our friends at Swing Left and other allied groups to join us.

Sign up here for one of the training sessions scheduled for May:

Ask any political pro: the most effective work we can do is face-to-face conversations with voters at their doors. And, canvassing is one of our core competencies. We're good at organizing and preparing volunteers to have the meaningful conversations with fellow citizens that we need to win in November.

We'll demystify the process to make you comfortable enough to join our canvass trips to Wisconsin and Michigan--ground zero in this election.

The training sessions also are an important opportunity to invite friends and family into the effort. They’ll learn what canvassing is all about and how they can make the biggest difference possible in winning the most important election of our lifetime!

While some of these Daily Actions come from our own work as Indivisible Chicago Alliance, others are from our many partners working to advance the progressive agenda. We invite you to join us in supporting their work. Postings from partners do not imply Indivisible Chicago Alliance endorsement of specific policies and positions.
