Wednesday, July 17 - Blue Thursday Political Happy Hour 7/18 / Wisconsin Canvass 7/27

Actions You Can Take

Action 1: TOMORROW - Wednesday, July 17

It's been a tough couple weeks! Discuss.

What happened today? What will happen next? What are we going to do about it? We’re devoting this month’s Blue Thursday to an open discussion of the situation we're in following the Great Debate Meltdown. Think of it as an airing-out session for members and friends. Wherever things stand when we convene (and who knows?), it’s an opportunity for all of us to share our thoughts, entertain questions, and consider suggestions. Most important, we’ll talk about how we move on to the all-important goal of winning the election.

Our special guests will be two of Indivisible Chicago’s most beloved leaders, board chair Kathy Tholin and founder Jason Rieger. Join us, have a drink, take a breath, talk it out.

Blue Thursday, if you didn't know, is our monthly political happy hour at the Hideout, Chicago's most advanced saloon. Bar opens at 5:30, program goes 6-7, but come early and stay late to mingle and imbibe. Free and open to all, but please RSVP here.

Action 2: Wisconsin Canvass 7/27

Come and join Indivisible Chicago knocking doors in the critical swing state of Wisconsin as we work to maintain the Midwest Blue Wall and defeat Trump. The difference between the outcome of the presidential race in Wisconsin from 2016 and 2020 was 2-3 votes per ward. Our work may be the deciding difference. We will be supporting Senator Tammy Baldwin and the folks running for Wisconsin State Senate and Assembly as well as a candidate in Wisconsin Congressional District 1.

Its about a 90-minute drive from Chicago to our meetup location in Racine Wisconsin (exact location coming soon). We’ll have a pre-canvass briefing once we get there, then split off into pairs to knock doors and find the voters that are going to help us deliver a win in November. We hope to have an optional debrief over lunch where we can share our experiences.

We'll provide all the info you'll need and will arrange carpools for anyone needing a ride. Sign up today and we'll be back in touch soon with details.

While some of these Daily Actions come from our own work as Indivisible Chicago Alliance, others are from our many partners working to advance the progressive agenda. We invite you to join us in supporting their work. Postings from partners do not imply Indivisible Chicago Alliance endorsement of specific policies and positions.
