Thursday, July 18 - Michigan Monday Phone Bank / No More U.S. Weapons Used on Gaza Civilians

Actions You Can Take

Action 1: Michigan Monday Phone Banks

Join us in making calls Mondays to voters in the critical battleground state of Michigan. We’re fighting to make sure Michigan’s 15 electoral votes remain a solid piece of the Midwest Blue Wall that will turn back Trump and the MAGA Republicans.

Indivisible Chicago high-impact phone banks attract people from all over the country—volunteers who tell us they appreciate our thorough training, individual attention, and the camaraderie that develops in our Zoom rooms, where we learn from and encourage each other.

We'll give you the training and background you need on the super-easy auto dialer we use to connect callers quickly with voters. And our experienced moderators will stay connected with you throughout the phone bank to answer your questions and trouble shoot any difficulties.

The next session is on Monday, July 22, and we have sessions scheduled through the election. Sign up and we'll send you the Zoom link to connect to the phone bank and background information you'll need to make calls.

Action 2: No More U.S. Weapons Used on Gaza Civilians

Indivisible Chicago urges our members of Congress to support an immediate ceasefire in Gaza, to ensure humanitarian aid to residents of Gaza, to continue to demand the release of all hostages, and to block US military aid to Israel that would cause additional civilian deaths in Gaza.

At least 38,000 people in Gaza have been killed by the Israeli government, but The Lancet journal estimates that the true number of dead could be upwards of 186,000. The lives of many more Palestinians are under daily threat.

At least three Illinois members of the US House (Rep Jonathan Jackson, Rep Delia Ramirez, Rep Chuy Garcia) have issued statements calling for the United States to end military funding to the Israeli government. Let's call on all our elected members of Congress to act.

Phone our two Illinois senators and your own congressman/congresswoman and tell them that the United States must stop providing military aid for the Israeli government to use against civilians in Gaza.

Suggested script: "Hello, I am [full name] and I am a constituent in zip code________. The Israeli government is using military aid from the United States in attacks that have killed civilians in Gaza. Take action to block US military aid to Israel that would cause additional civilian deaths in Gaza."
