The Road to November: Resist. Protect. Elect.
With summer in full swing, the strategy of the MAGA/Trump Regime is becoming clearer: spread disinformation, target vulnerable communities, suppress the vote, and rig maps while intimidating voters and undermining our rights.
As we head towards the November election, we are focused on three strategies to win – RESIST, PROTECT, and ELECT.
RESIST: Defend Vulnerable Communities
Abductions and illegal actions by ICE and federal agents continue in Chicago and around the country, as do the attacks against the rights and healthcare of transgender communities. We will continue to organize protests and demand Hands Off Chicago, and we also encourage everyone to join groups in your communities that provide vital rapid response, support, and mutual aid.
Local organizers with the Northwest Side Rapid Response Team have just launched the Whistle Alert Response Network (WARN) as a way to increase awareness of ICE activity and complement trained rapid response networks. When ICE activity is confirmed, participants receive an alert via Telegram and can help notify neighbors by blowing whistles to signal that agents are in the area. This network is limited to Northwest Side communities—please join ONLY IF you live or work in the area. Similar networks may expand if successful. If you live or work on the Northwest Side, download the Telegram app on your phone and then join the channel. If you don’t, spread the word to those in the area!

Support the trans community and attend a training with Pride in Practice: A Training Series for Affirming Care and Community Support.
PROTECT: Our Vote and Our Voice
We will continue to organize and support actions that push back on the Trump regime’s attacks against the rule of law, our right to protest, our freedom of speech, and our right to vote and have our votes counted.
Defend Voting By Mail: The U.S. Postal Service has proposed a new rule that would allow them to control who can vote by mail. If implemented, eligible American citizens will be blocked from participating in our elections. Tell USPS to reject this proposed rule by submitting a public comment before Thursday, July 2!The USPS is required to consider public comments, and failure to do so creates the foundation for future litigation.
Wisconsin Voter Protection: sign up as a Hotline and Ballot Cure volunteer for the August primary election or November general election
Michigan Voter Protection: sign up as an out-of-state resident to help the Michigan Dems Voter Protection team protect elections in Michigan
ELECT: Win Big in November
Nothing will stop Trump and his regime more effectively than an overwhelming margin of voters rejecting MAGA candidates at the ballot box. With support from the Roberts court, the Trump/MAGA regime is attempting to rig the election by redrawing maps to their advantage. But those changes can only go so far and they cannot overcome a massive voter turnout. So let’s turn out those voters in the Midwest battleground states!
