Hands Off Chicago
Indivisible Chicago is proud to support Hands Off Chicago, a broad grassroots effort organized by Chicago and Illinois organizations and community members united to defend our city, protect our communities, and stand up for democracy in response to Operation Midway Blitz in September 2025.
Hands Off Chicago brings together organizations across movements and issues, including immigrant rights, labor, civil rights, LGBTQ+ rights, reproductive rights, environmental justice, and grassroots democracy. We organize and mobilize together against federal overreach, aggressive immigration enforcement, militarization, and attacks on our fundamental rights and freedoms.
As part of Hands Off Chicago, Indivisible Chicago has helped build a powerful citywide movement for nonviolent action and mass mobilization. We work alongside coalition partners to educate and mobilize Chicagoans, protect immigrant communities, defend civil rights, and make sure our city rises up together when our democracy and neighbors are under attack.
Hands Off Chicago has been an important partner for some of Chicago's largest demonstrations, including the No Kings rallies and marches in October 2025 and March 2026. Together, we mobilized to bring people into the streets in defense of democracy and against authoritarianism along with dozens of additional supporting organizations.
Hands Off Chicago is supported by the Illinois Coalition for Immigrant & Refugee Rights, Indivisible Chicago, Personal Pac, Equality Illinois, Sierra Club Illinois, the Illinois AFL-CIO, the Chicago Federation of Labor, and other Chicago advocacy organizations.
