Hail to the Thief
President Klepto is stealing everything he can get his little hands on: He’s ripped off his crypto and meme-coin customers for more than a billion dollars. He’s spending uncountable millions of taxpayers’ money to plaster his name and gold paint all over Washington. He’s illegally stopped payment on billions appropriated by Congress for critical infrastructure projects and social programs. And the list goes on. And on.
But he’s not going to steal the midterm elections. He’s trying, in myriad ways, but we won’t let it happen. We’re working closely with partners in our target swing states to protect the vote and ensure a safe, fair election. The work takes a lot of preparation and a lot of volunteers, but our members have found it to be immensely satisfying and (not incidentally) a great way to make a difference in the early days of the election cycle. In other words, now.
Here’s how you can help:
Wisconsin
Since working our first midterms back in 2018, we’ve been impressed by the scope and effectiveness of the WisDems voter protection effort. They run a crack voter-info hotline and a ballot-cure program that helps absentee and mail voters correct mistakes and get their votes counted. And they recruit and coordinate hundreds of poll watchers and observers to guard against election-day shenanigans.
➔ Help recruit poll observers for Wisconsin’s August primary elections. Saturday July 11, 10-2 and 2-4.
➔ Attend an online Voter Protection 101 session to learn the basics of Wisconsin election law and how you can help. Wednesday evenings at 5:30.
➔ Get trained to serve on the WisDems Voter Protection Hotline and Ballot Cure team Wednesday evening July 15.
➔ Volunteer for the hotline/ballot cure team for the August primary and/or the November general election.
Michigan
Michigan also has a robust voter protection effort. (For some reason, they’re becoming more prevalent!) And with an open U.S. Senate seat, flippable MAGA-held House seats, and the governorship all up for grabs, it’s one of the most important battlegrounds of the midterms. The bad guys will stop at nothing. We need to be ready for them.
➔ Sign up to join the team as a hotline staffer, a poll observer, or one of many other roles. Training is required and provided. The biggest need right now is for the "Activation team," which is calling/texting former volunteers to reactivate them for this cycle. Use this form to sign up and the Michigan Dems will get back to you.
➔ Attend an online voter education briefing to pick up the basics and learn more about Michigan's electoral process. July 21 at 6PM (CT).

One of the most important things we can do to protect the integrity of the midterm elections is to win so big that all of MAGA's tricks and treachery cannot possibly overcome our margin. So even though it's early in the election cycle, we're already canvassing, phone banking, postcarding, and planning more.
