Action 2: Canvass for Delia Ramirez on Saturday
We're knocking on doors on Chicago's Northwest Side to elect Delia Ramirez to Congress from the new 3rd Congressional District. Currently serving in the Illinois legislature, Delia has been an effective progressive leader in health care, affordable housing, education, and more.
On Saturday, April 23, we will meet at the new campaign office at 4058 W Belmont at 10 a.m., hear from Delia, and canvass in the neighborhood. If you've never canvassed before, we'll pair you up with a veteran. If you don't have a car, we will pair you up with someone who does to get you to your canvassing location. RSVP to the canvass session.

Action 3: Illinois Standing With Queer & Trans Communities on 4/27
These past few months have been extremely difficult for the LGBTQ+ community across the country. Florida enacted the “don’t say gay” bill and the Texas governor demanded that parents and medical providers of trans youth be investigated for child abuse. While these have been the cases that have received the most attention, there has been a wave of more than 240 anti-queer and anti-trans bills filed across the country as well as anti-LGBTQ+ rhetoric, discrimination, and attacks.
In light of this snowball of issues targeting our LGBTQ+ community, our organizations partnered for a rally to support trans and queer communities on March 28 at Federal Plaza in Chicago. Unfortunately, the rally was hijacked by aggressive disruptors. For the safety of our community, we had to cancel the action to protect.
Our community refuses to be silenced or intimidated so we will reclaim our space and move forward with our action and press conference. Please join us on Wednesday, April 27 at 5:30 p.m. in Chicago Federal Plaza and stand against bigotry and hate in Illinois.
While some of these Daily Actions come from our own work as Indivisible Chicago Alliance, others are from our many partners working to advance the progressive agenda. We invite you to join us in supporting their work. Postings from partners do not imply Indivisible Chicago Alliance endorsement of specific policies and positions.
