Friday, April 29 - May Day March for Labor & Immigrant Rights / Tuesday Phone Bank for Delia Ramirez

Actions You Can Take Today

Action 1: May Day March for Labor & Immigrant Rights on Sunday

On May Day, join the contingent to Defend Roe and Extend Abortion Rights & Access in the May Day March for Labor & Immigrant Rights!

At a time when mass movements in Latin America and elsewhere have forged international solidarity and won greater freedom for women and gender-nonconforming people to control their own bodies, the U.S. threatens to do the opposite---force women to carry unwanted pregnancies to term or seek illegal and dangerous abortions.

If we lose the right to safe and legal abortions, the enemies of women won't stop there. The same forces opposing abortion oppose birth control and support for families with children; they attack LGBTQ rights, unions, and #BlackLivesMatter while approving vicious treatment of immigrants and refugees. They must not win!

So please join us on Sunday, May 1st!

  • Assemble: 10 am, Union Park, corner of Randolph St & Ashland Ave, Chicago (just south of the "Ashland" Green & Pink lines El station) for a rally before March

  • March: 11:30 AM

To find our contingent, Look for the green signs and banners!

Action 2: Phone Bank for Delia Ramirez on 5/3

We’re phone banking to elect Delia Ramirez to Congress from the new 3rd Congressional District. Currently serving in the Illinois legislature, Delia has been an effective progressive leader in health care, affordable housing, education, and more.

Phone banking is easier than you think, and we can prove it to you in just 30 minutes. Our wildly popular training class has turned hundreds of nervous newbies into cool, confident phone bankers. Whether you're a complete rookie or just a little rusty, we'll show you the ropes, allay your anxieties, and answer all your questions.

While some of these Daily Actions come from our own work as Indivisible Chicago Alliance, others are from our many partners working to advance the progressive agenda. We invite you to join us in supporting their work. Postings from partners do not imply Indivisible Chicago Alliance endorsement of specific policies and positions.
