ICA Action: Indivisible Chicago Immigration Brief 2/3 & 2/5
Since, the Trump administration announced an immigration enforcement blitz in Chicago, there has been confirmed activity by federal agents in many neighborhoods across the area.
This is a frightening time for directly impacted communities in Chicago, and it’s important that everyone understands how to respond. To help as allies in the fight to protect our immigrant neighbors, Indivisible Chicago is hosting an event aimed at providing Indivisible Chicago members with the knowledge needed to respond appropriately in this moment.
👉 Join us Monday, February 3rd in the Lakeview neighborhood or on Wednesday, February 5th virtually for a discussion on immigration history, threats, and potential impact on vulnerable communities across the greater Chicagoland area and beyond, and how we as allies can take action in this moment. Agenda items will include "Know Your Rights" overview, advocacy at the state and city level, and Rapid Response.
Partner Action: Bracing for Impact with Indivisible’s Co-Founders 1/30
With so much coming at us right now, it’s important to carve out time to come together in community and dig into what matters and what we can do about it. Indivisible’s Leah Greenberg and Ezra Levin will lead a discussion on Thursday and spend most of the hour answering audience questions.
