Abductions and illegal actions by ICE and federal agents continue in Chicago and around the country, as do the attacks against the rights and healthcare of transgender communities. We will continue to organize protests and demand Hands Off Chicago, and we also encourage everyone to join groups in your communities that provide vital rapid response, support, and mutual aid.

  • Call Your Senators: Vote NO on Mass Surveillance and CORCA Act

    • The Combating Organized Retail Crime Act (CORCA) would dramatically expand the surveillance and enforcement powers of the Department of Homeland Security, giving DHS greater access to consumer data and increasing ICE's role in a new intelligence apparatus. As communities continue to demand accountability for immigration enforcement, many advocates argue this is the wrong direction.

      The House has already passed CORCA, and the Senate could vote on it soon. Both Senators Dick Durbin and Tammy Duckworth are original co-sponsors. Now is the time to urge them to withdraw their support and vote NO on CORCA, including if it is offered as an amendment to the National Defense Authorization. CALL NOW

  • Email Your House Rep: Sign the Dream and Promise Act Discharge Petition

    • For months, the Trump administration has carried out the largest mass de-legalization effort in modern U.S. history. Immigration agents continue to shoot and kill our neighbors. Employers are being forced to lay off hundreds of thousands of TPS holders. DACA recipients are losing status because of renewal delays. The Dream & Promise Act discharge petition is Congress’s chance to show up for working people and deliver citizenship now for millions. EMAIL NOW

  • Stand Up for Science: Petition in Support of Dr. Fauci and American Public Health

    • On August 6, Senate Republicans on the Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee voted to hold Dr. Anthony Fauci in contempt of Congress. The Republicans on the Senate panel referred the contempt resolution to the Justice Department without full-Senate vote, a likely illegal act. On August 7, Stand Up for Science published the Stand Up for Fauci Petition to Congress to rescind the contempt referral to the Justice Department immediately.
