Partner Action: Oppose the Suppressing SAVE Act (H.R. 22)

This week, the House is set to vote on H.R. 22, the extreme anti-voter Safeguard American Voter Eligibility (SAVE) Act. This legislation, a top priority for Republicans, would significantly hinder millions of eligible Americans from registering to vote by requiring a birth certificate or passport in person.

Currently, over 21.3 million Americans lack immediate access to proof of citizenship. More than 140 million do not have a passport, and elderly citizens are among those least likely to possess one. Additionally, 69 million women who have taken their spouse’s last name may not have matching birth certificates. Transgender individuals could face barriers if their names don’t match their identification, while disabled voters already face challenges that this bill would exacerbate. Citizens of color are disproportionately affected, as they are three times more likely to lack necessary documentation.

👉 Despite the claims of widespread voter fraud, the SAVE Act aims to disenfranchise eligible voters. Demand your representatives oppose this bill and protect voting rights for all!

Script: I'm calling to demand that [Rep/Senator name] oppose H.R. 22, the SAVE Act, which will create unnecessary barriers to voter registration and disenfranchise countless voters, especially women, seniors, and low-income citizens. This bill is designed to block voters despite no real evidence of widespread fraud. [Name] must vote against it.

Partner Action: Last Actions for WI Election TOMORROW

🚨 The Wisconsin Supreme Court election is TOMORROW! 🚨 Your support helped Justice Janet Protasiewicz win, and now we need your energy behind Susan Crawford as she runs for a crucial seat on the WI Supreme Court. A loss to MAGA-backed Brad Schimel could flip the court conservative for the next decade.

This court will play a vital role in shaping the future of freedom, democracy, and workers’ rights. Issues like abortion access, voting rights, legislative maps, and collective bargaining are at stake.

👉 Here's what you can do today and tomorrow to get out the vote!
