Partner Action: Fight Against ICE Overreach
ICE is disappearing students, professors, workers, and lawful residents — not for crimes, but for speaking out or simply existing in the wrong place at the wrong time. People are being taken without warning, denied legal help, and held in remote detention centers.
Even worse, the "One Big Beautiful Bill" will pour even more money into ICE, expanding the very machinery being used to punish dissent.
In recent months, ICE has detained people on valid visas — including green card holders, students, and workers — with no charges or due process. Mahmoud Khalil, Rümeysa Öztürk, Badar Khan Suri, and Mohsen Mahdawi were abducted by plainclothes agents, cut off from family and legal teams, and denied basic rights.
This is a crisis — a direct attack on civil liberties.
State Attorneys General must act. They can investigate ICE, sue to stop rights violations, and defend sanctuary protections.

ICA Action: Write Postcards to Virginia
Thanks to everyone who has written postcards to Virginia so far for their November Governor race! You are all incredible. It is time for the next wave of writing.
Indivisible Chicago Alliance still has postcards from Postcards to Swing States to send to Virginia voters urging them to vote in their Governor and down ballot races in November. This is a state race, but one with national implications. The Virginia race pits former Rep. Abigail Spanberger, a Democrat, vs. Virginia Lt. Gov. Winsome Earle-Sears, a MAGA Republican. In addition to the Governor race, it is critical to maintain the Democratic majority in the House of Delegates — where Democrats hold the narrowest of margins, 51-49.
