Tuesday, March 10 - One Week Until IL Election / Public School Phone Bank TODAY / WI Canvass Saturday

ICA Action: One Week Until IL Election Day!

Illinois votes on March 17, and this primary will shape representation at every level. Early voting is already open in all Chicago wards. With just one week to go, now is the time to make a plan to vote and remind others to do the same.

Here’s how to take action this week:

👉 Make your voting plan.
Check your registration, polling place, and sample ballot through the Chicago Board of Elections, Suburban Cook County Clerk, or Illinois State Board of Elections.

👉 Return your mail ballot.
If you’re voting by mail, it’s highly recommended to mail your ballot no later than today, March 10. Otherwise, return it to a secure drop box (instructions are included with your ballot)

👉 Research your ballot.
Use trusted resources like BallotReady to build your ballot and Injustice Watch’s guide to Cook County judicial races.

👉 Volunteer to help win key races.
Check your preferred candidate’s website for volunteer opportunities, or join a phone bank for State Senator Robert Peters in IL-02, endorsed by Indivisible National, Indivisible Chicago, and Indivisible Chicago South-Side.

👉 Remind others to vote. Share voting resources and make sure friends and family have a plan to vote before March 17.

👉 Have questions or issues with voting? You can get answers and support at I Will Vote | Illinois or visit the Election Protection hotline for live chat support.

Visit our Linktree for additional resources for voting in Illinois.

Partner Action: Make the Call for Public Schools TODAY

On March 17th, about 10% of Illinois voters will have a non-binding question on their primary ballot about whether Illinois should opt into the federal voucher program. We are partnering with IL Families for Public Schools to talk to voters about the advisory referenda and why it would be bad for public schools.

👉 Phone bank for public schools TODAY at 6 p.m.

ICA Action: Canvass to Win the WI Supreme Court Saturday

The April 7 election for the Wisconsin Supreme Court could determine the future of fair maps, abortion rights, and democracy in this critical swing state.

A win by Democrat-endorsed candidate Chris Taylor would strengthen the court’s pro-democracy majority — helping protect voting rights and push back against MAGA extremism at the state level.

That’s why we’re heading to Kenosha to knock doors and talk directly with voters.

We’re partnering with the Working Families Party of Wisconsin for this critical race. Nationally, WFP is working closely with Indivisible to organize resistance to Trump and build long-term power for working people.

We're heading to Kenosha every Saturday through April 4 (carpools available). New to canvassing? We’ve got you. We’ll send background materials ahead of time, pair newcomers with experienced volunteers, and brief you so you feel confident talking to voters.

👉 Sign up to canvass in Kenosha, Saturdays through April 4!
