Tuesday, March 24 - No Kings Medical Volunteers / Witness Slip Roundup / Centering Trans Leadership 3/30
ICA Action: No Kings Medical Volunteers
We are looking for volunteers to help build out our medical teams for the No Kings rally and march on March 28.
We are recruiting a mix of health care professionals with varying credentials and experience, all of which we take into account in making up the teams. We function as volunteers providing first aid and acting as liaisons with CFD/CPD who will be stationed around the perimeter of the park and march to provide EMS. We are covered by the Illinois Good Samaritan Act which supports and protects such volunteerism.
👉 If you are a health care professional and are interested in volunteering, please fill out this form and one of our medical leads will follow up with you.
Community Action: Witness Slip Roundup
The Illinois General Assembly is back in Session, and now’s the time to make your voice heard! A Witness Slip is a person or group's position on a particular bill. Filling out a witness slip is a great way to let legislators know whether you support or oppose a bill.
Witness slips are read during a committee hearing and help inform legislators as to where people stand, allowing informed decisions when voting. Witness slips are a quick way to make your voice heard in state government.
👉 Fill out these witness slips as PROPONENT to support legislation that expands voting access, strengthens public health and healthcare, protects reproductive freedom and bodily autonomy, advances civil rights and protections for vulnerable communities, strengthens protections for survivors, supports students and working families, ensures consumer and patient protections, upholds human dignity, and increases accountability and public safety.
Not sure how to fill out a witness slip? Check the link above for instructions!
