Help us beat the social media algorithm!

Indivisible Chicago is in the middle of a No Kings social media blitz, but the algorithm isn’t being very friendly to the No Kings movement.

ICA Partner Action: The Human Cost of U.S. Immigration Policy on Families and Children 4/16

The Indivisible Lincoln Square Immigration Committee will host a forum on family separation and detention on April 16. Speakers will include the Chicago City Council’s Committee on Immigrant and Refugee Rights, the Young Center for Immigrant Children’s Rights, and Paral & Associates—who will discuss local immigrant demographics.

Background: ICE resumed the cruel practice of family detention as part of the administration’s broad attacks on immigrant communities, including militarized enforcement, mass deportations, and increased surveillance. ICE detains children—including infants and toddlers—alongside their parents, where families wait to see if ICE will remove them from the U.S. or if they will be granted protection and be allowed to remain in the country. In addition, 11,000 children are now separated from their families due to immigration actions.

👉 Join us to learn what we can do to free children and families on Thursday, April 16th from 5:30-7:30PM at Sulzer Regional Library.

While some of these Daily Actions come from our own work as Indivisible Chicago Alliance, others are from our many partners working to advance the progressive agenda. We invite you to join us in supporting their work. Postings from community partners do not imply Indivisible Chicago Alliance endorsement of specific policies and positions.
