Tuesday, June 9 - Protect Gender-Affirming Care / MI Monday and WI Wednesday Phone Banks / Flag Day in Elk Grove Village

Community Action: Protect Gender-Affirming Care

UW Health and Children’s Wisconsin in Milwaukee (Medical College of Wisconsin-affiliated) stopped providing gender-affirming care for people under the age of 18 earlier this year, following Trump administration efforts to restrict access to care under HHS secretary RFK Jr. A federal ruling in April barred HHS from enforcing the proposed restrictions. Despite pressure from over 65 advocacy organizations and businesses as well as the Dane County Board, UW Health and Children’s Wisconsin have not yet reinstated transgender care for youth under the age of 18.

👉 Take a few minutes this Pride month to ask UW Health and Children’s Wisconsin to reinstate gender affirming care for young people.

ICA Action: MI Monday and WI Wednesday Phone Banks

Join us as we call voters living in swing districts that are crucial for winning back power in the Midterms this November. We’ll be using an innovative approach developed by our friends at Swing Left called Ground Truth that focuses on having deep, meaningful conversations with voters. With Ground Truth we will:

  • Call all types of voters -- not just those we know will vote like us.

  • Have meaningful conversations that focus on listening to voters’ concerns.

  • Gather insights to share with campaigns, so they can be responsive to voters’ needs and smarter with their messaging, targeting, and outreach.

👉 Wisconsin Wednesday Phone Banks Start June 10

👉 Michigan Monday Phone Banks Start June 15

Indivisible Chicago phone banks attract enthusiastic and committed volunteers from all across the country. We provide training, background resources, and one-on-one support throughout your shift. We’ll be using a state-of-the-art autodialer that connects you quickly with voters.
