ICA Action: Vigil to Demand Justice for ICE Victims 7/25
On July 7, Lorenzo Salgado Araujo was shot and killed by an ICE agent in Houston while driving a work van with his crew. On July 13, ICE fatally shot 26-year-old Johan Sebastian Guerrero in Biddeford, Maine — his wife and toddler forced to witness his murder.
Both men were beloved members of their communities, killed on their way to work.
These are only the most recent lives taken. Here in Chicago, we continue to mourn the killing of Silverio Villegas González. We recognize that more than 60 people have died following encounters with ICE in 2025 and 2026 alone. We gather to grieve these devastating losses, demand accountability for every life taken—including those in our own communities—and call for an end to this violence.
Join us for a vigil to demand Justice for Lorenzo. Justice for Johan. Justice for Silverio. Justice for All.
👉 Join the community vigil on Saturday, July 25, 11am – 12:30pm at Michigan Ave. & Ida B. Wells Dr.
Indivisible Action: No More Money for Iran War!
We’re heartbroken to learn about the deaths of two more US service members in Trump's Iran War. This illegal war never should have started.
Our Members of Congress must be united in their rejection of one more cent for Trump’s war of choice.
👉 Send an email to your elected officials and demand they hold the line for not another dime.

Fair Vote Illinois will kick things off with a brief interactive presentation illustrating how RCV works. Then you will get to see it in action yourself by tasting and ranking a selection of great beers. It's a fun, hands-on way to learn about what is designed to be a fairer, cheaper, and less divisive alternative to the more traditional system of voting.
While some of these Daily Actions come from our own work as Indivisible Chicago Alliance, others are from our many partners working to advance the progressive agenda.
