Monday, October 13 - Know Your Rights / Volunteer for No Kings March
ICA Parter Action: Support Know Your Rights Efforts
This past week, we have seen Federal ICE agents sweeping through neighborhoods across the Chicagoland area, kidnapping people off the street and detaining folks - including children - first and asking questions later. Now the Trump regime has moved to deploy the National Guard in Illinois, authorizing federal troops in another overreach to create chaos and fear.
These anti-democratic acts continue to escalate and there is no end in sight.
Trump will not stop unless we, the people, make him stop.
We have to reject facism and fight for the country that we want. This is why we are coming together in Grant Park on October 18th for the Hands Off Chicago / No Kings! rally and march, as part of a national day of action.
It is frustratingly difficult to fight back against ICE. They are relentless and ruthless.
π But here are some actions you can take now to help.
Join a Know Your Rights training through the Illinois Coalition for Immigrant and Refugee Rights or The Resurrection Project.

Join Indivisible Lincoln Squareβs Know Your Rights business canvassing
Share the ICIRR 24-hour hotline number (also called the Family Support Network or FSN hotline) and call it to report ICE activity that you witness: 855-435-7693 Be sure to report information according to S.A.L.U.T.E.
We will not wait until October 18th to take action. There will be protests in Chicago and there will be more actions you can take to fight back against ICE. Follow us on Instagram, BlueSky, Threads, and Facebook.
NOTE: As the Trump regime continues to escalate its reckless and dangerous actions, be mindful of your own safety and capacity to take on heightened risks. Refer to these safety guidelines and tips for protests and actions.
