Friday, September 5 - Hands Off Chicago / ACLU Know Your Rights Training TONIGHT / Indivisible Downtown Meeting 9/8

ICA Action: Hands Off Chicago!

Here in Chicago, we don’t bow down to wannabe kings—and when we see something unjust, we rise up in peaceful opposition.

As Donald Trump continues to threaten to send troops and an army of ICE agents into our city, Indivisible Chicago, in conjunction with advocacy groups across Chicagoland, is launching Hands Off Chicago, a campaign to help Chicagoans show their opposition to this unlawful military occupation.

👉 Click here to visit the Hands Off website to find out how to get involved, download resources including signage you can use, and stay connected to a community of other Chicagoans who are ready to defend our city and our neighbors.

➡️ You can also follow the Hands Off movement on Instagram or follow on X.

📣 Post on social media and/or change your profile picture to this graphic and encourage everyone in your network to do the same with the hashtag #HandsOffChicago. Let’s send a message: this is our city

This is going to be a challenging time. But one thing is for sure—we’re Chicagoans. We stick together, and no one is going to intimidate us out of standing up for what’s right.

Partner Action: ACLU Know Your Rights Training TONIGHT

As we speak, President Trump has deployed thousands of National Guard troops, federal agents, and local police forces to the streets of D.C. to target Black and Brown residents, immigrants, and unhoused people — all in an effort to expand his power and sow fear in our communities.

This militarization is about control, not safety. And now they're threatening to target people exercising their First Amendment right to protest.

Unfortunately, this is likely just the beginning as the Trump administration has threatened to deploy military troops into other beloved American cities like Chicago, Baltimore and New York City.

We want to make sure you know your rights when protesting this extreme abuse of power by the administration.
