Fight Elon Musk in Michigan!

Canvassers Find MAGA Disinformation in Michigan

We knew this was coming but it’s still a gut punch when you see the vile smears that MAGA Republicans are spreading to try to stave off the blue wave we’re working to build this November.

This flyer was picked up by one of our canvassers yesterday in South Haven, Michigan. This type of demagoguery is now being spewed through TV ads, social media posts and printed materials because Republicans have nothing else to run on.

And, it’s being bankrolled through massive spending by Elon Musk and other Trump cronies. The flip side of this flyer includes a QR code that links to Musk’s fake voter registration site, "VoteSafe," which is really a digital voter surveillance machine.

We beat Musk last year in Wisconsin and we’re going to do it again this year in Michigan. How? Thanks to you!

Yesterday, Indivisible Chicago canvassers joined with Michigan-based neighbors to knock hundreds of doors and had scores of productive conversations with voters in four different communities. In addition to South Haven, our teams were in St. Joseph Township and in two small towns won by Trump in 2024, Coloma and Watervliet.

Significantly, canvassers reported positive conversations with several Independents and Republicans, some of whom expressed disappointment with Trump. These are the voters we need to win over, not only this year but in 2028 and beyond.

We continue to focus on getting Sean McCann elected in the 4th Congressional District, one of the seats we need to flip in order to take back control of the U.S. House. We also are working to elect Democrats as the three top statewide officeholders who will certify free and fair Presidential elections in 2028 in Michigan. And, we are fighting to get Abdul El-Sayed elected, a seat we must hold to have a chance to flip the U.S. Senate.

Will you join us as we ramp up our activities heading into the home stretch of this election season and fight back against Musk's latest attempt to buy the election? We’ll be back in Michigan to knock doors on September 27 and then every Sunday until the election. In the first three Sundays in October, we’ll offer morning and afternoon shifts and then for the last two weekends, overnight stays with local hosts for anyone who can canvass on multiple days. Please sign up today and bring friends and family!

Need a ride? No problem, we organize carpools to get everyone to and from Michigan. Haven’t canvassed before? Join us for our October 7 online canvassing training — but, even if you haven’t attended a training, we’ll make sure you’re fully prepared and team you up with a veteran canvasser who will show you the ropes.

We’re also organizing bus transportation on certain weekends. The next one will be October 11. After our canvass, we’ll gather for a celebration at a nearby watering hole to socialize and hear from some of the elected officials we’re working for — sign up here to get on the bus!

In addition to our Michigan Sunday canvasses, we’ll also be in Wisconsin canvassing on Saturdays, phone banking during the week, writing postcards, text banking and signing up to help protect elections in Michigan and Wisconsin. Find all of our activities here!

Thanks for your commitment to working for a blue Michigan, see you soon!
