Action 2: No More U.S. Weapons Used on Gaza Civilians
Indivisible Chicago urges our members of Congress to support an immediate ceasefire in Gaza, to ensure humanitarian aid to residents of Gaza, to continue to demand the release of all hostages, and to block US military aid to Israel that would cause additional civilian deaths in Gaza.
More than 40,400 people in Gaza have been reported killed by the Israeli government, but The Lancet journal estimates that the true number of dead could be as high as 186,000. The lives of many more Palestinians are under daily threat.
At least three Illinois members of the US House (Rep Jonathan Jackson, Rep Delia Ramirez, Rep Chuy Garcia) have issued statements calling for the United States to end military funding to the Israeli government. Let's call on all our elected members of Congress to act.
Phone our two Illinois senators and your own congressman/congresswoman and tell them that the United States must stop providing military aid for the Israeli government to use against civilians in Gaza.
