Actions You Can Take

Action 1: Rally2Win at the Vic on September 16

We’re inviting all volunteers–past, present, and future–to a free Rally2Win officially launching our final push to election day. Join us Monday, September 16 at the Vic Theater, 3145 N. Sheffield. Come at 6:00pm to mix and mingle with fellow volunteers and check out the volunteer opportunities over drinks (cash bar). Our show starts at 7:00pm. It’ll be a fun evening with a serious purpose. We’re lining up a mix of top political speakers, musicians, and some of Chicago’s finest improv performers to entertain, inspire, and motivate us all for this race to the finish line.

Confirmed guests so far include:

  • Blues musicians Dave Specter, Sheryl Youngblood and Corky Siegel,

  • Lavora Barnes, chair, Michigan Democratic Party

  • Stay tuned for more!

We’ll have information tables with plenty of ways to sign up for campaign activities that make the best use of your time and talent. With our partners Swing Left, Q-Force, and Operation Swing State, we’ll show you when, where, and how you can help get more Democrats to the polls in these final weeks. Volunteer-hesitant? No worries: we provide training and support every step of the way.

So mark the date, RSVP here, and bring friends–it’s free, but it helps us to know who’s coming, so make sure your friends RSVP too, please. Let’s pack the room, then get to work!

Action 2: Canvass for Lauren Underwood 9/21

We are joining Team Underwood to knock on doors in Aurora on Saturday, September 21. We'll be talking to voters to make sure they know Congresswoman Underwood and are ready to vote in November.

Starting in 2018 when she flipped her district and won her first election, Indivisible Chicago volunteers have made calls and knocked on doors to help Lauren Underwood win her elections. She is an essential voice in Congress, and we need to help her finish strong and keep up her work.

We'll provide all the info and prep you'll need and will have carpools for anyone needing a ride. Sign up today and we'll be back in touch soon with details.

While some of these Daily Actions come from our own work as Indivisible Chicago Alliance, others are from our many partners working to advance the progressive agenda. We invite you to join us in supporting their work. Postings from partners do not imply Indivisible Chicago Alliance endorsement of specific policies and positions.
