Friday, April 10 - Phone Bank for VA and MI / Investigate Border Patrol Shooting / Anti-Amazon Protest 4/13
Community Action: Stop The War Phone Bank TODAY!
Fight for democracy by calling voters about upcoming special elections in Virginia and Michigan.
In Virginia, an April 21 election will determine whether voters approve the state’s redistricting plan to fight back against MAGA extremists in Texas, Missouri, and other red states, that are gerrymandering their maps to try to keep the Republicans in power in Congress. Virginia is fighting to level the playing field.

In Michigan, Democrats are fighting to restore their 20-18 majority in the State Senate by winning a May 5 special election and build momentum going into the Midterms.
👉 Join States Win phone banks on Tuesdays evenings to make calls on behalf of Democratic candidate Chedrick Greene.
Community Action: CPD Must Investigate Border Patrol Shooting
On October 4, 2025, Border Patrol Agent Charles Exum shot Marimar Martinez five times. Despite DHS claims of justification, all charges against Martinez were dismissed. Six months later, the Chicago Police Department has still not opened an investigation.
Superintendent Snelling continues to defend the shooting based on false narratives, while State’s Attorney Burke refuses to prosecute without a CPD referral.
👉 Demand accountability. Attend the Police Board Meeting to tell Superintendent Snelling to immediately investigate Exum’s criminal act.
When: Thursday, April 16th (Sign up by 7:15 PM)
Where: 3510 S. Michigan Ave.
Message: CPD must stop giving federal agents special treatment. It is your job to investigate violations of Illinois law and protect Chicago residents. Open an investigation into Charles Exum now.

Community Action: Tell Amazon - Fund Our Future, Not Fascists 4/13
In Chicago, we look out for each other. We work as teachers and caregivers, organize with our neighbors, and pick up whistles when masked ICE agents threaten our community.
But corporations like Amazon and billionaires like Jeff Bezos are getting obscenely rich off our labor, our data, and our tax dollars. Then instead of paying what they owe us through taxes, they're backing Trump's cruel regime so they can keep lining their pockets.
Join us at Amazon's Chicago office as we demand the very rich pay what they owe, so we can fund the schools, childcare, healthcare, and affordable homes we all need to thrive.
Bring your voice, your energy, and your community. Whether you’re passionate about workers’ rights, public services, or economic justice, this is your moment to be heard. Sign up, show up, and help send a clear message: it’s time for corporations and billionaires to pay what they owe us!
