ICA and Partner Action: Chicago May Day Rally & March 5/1

This May Day, a broad coalition of organizations are uniting for a day of action and economic power. We are taking action in solidarity with workers, immigrants and everyone impacted the most by the Trump regime’s barbaric attacks on our rights and freedoms.

Join us to support these organizations for a powerful May Day in Chicago! We continue our resistance to the Trump regime by showing up on this International Workers' Day -- and every day -- to fight for a better future and country that serves workers, not billionaires, and to demand ICE out of our communities!

👉 Join the May Day Rally and March on Friday, May 1 from 1 – 3:30pm at Union Park (1501 W Randolph St)

Community Action: Support HB 1429

The Illinois House of Representatives must vote YES on HB 1429 by Friday, April 17 to stop local governments from punishing people for experiencing homelessness.

If Illinois does not take action, more municipalities will pass ordinances that direct local law enforcement to fine or arrest people living on the street for having nowhere else to go. At least 34 municipalities in Illinois have passed these “camping bans” to punish people experiencing street homelessness in their community over the last two years alone. HB 1429 is a crucial step in ensuring that people experiencing homelessness are allowed to exist in their communities without fear of punishment.

👉 Contact your state representative today and urge them to vote yes on HB 1429 or thank them for their support.

ICA Partner Action: Write Letters for Pennsylvania 4/18

The midterms will be here before we know it. We must make sure that this November's election is a historic blue tsunami. But, while we do the critical work to win and show MAGA the door, we do not have to make it boring.

👉 Come to ArePA George Cantina anytime between 6-9 PM. Buy a few drinks, empanadas, and arepas while writing letters to Pennsylvania voters. Your letter might be the one who holds or flips a key seat!
