Community Action: Support TPS Extension for Haitians
The Trump administration has been pushing to end TPS, or Temporary Protected Status, for nearly 350,000 Haitians in the U.S., claiming conditions in Haiti have improved. Haitians were first granted TPS in 2010 due to an earthquake that killed more than 300,000 and displaced 1.5 million more, and the protections have been extended multiple times due to continued dangerous conditions in their home country.
These Haitian individuals and families fled their homes because of danger, widespread gang violence, and unrest. They entered our country legally under the Temporary Protected Status designation. Haitians contribute to our communities, pay taxes, and work in important job sectors such as healthcare, yet they’ve been unfairly demonized by the Trump administration, including in 2024 when JD Vance and Donald Trump repeatedly spread lies that Haitians ate pets even after the story was proven to be false.
Despite what the administration claims, it is still too dangerous for these folks to return to Haiti.

Script: Hi, my name is [NAME] and I’m a constituent from Chicago. I’m calling to urge Senator [NAME] to support house-passed H.R. 1689 and extend Temporary Protected Status for approximately 350,000 Haitians migrants. These individuals are here legally, pay taxes, and work in important job sectors like healthcare. They should be able to stay in the U.S. under Temporary Protected Status until it is safe.

ICA Action: Michigan Canvass 4/26
Winning back control of Congress this November will put the brakes on the lawless, corrupt, cruelty of the Trump regime and begin the process of repairing its destruction and imposing accountability.
The fight to win the Midterm elections on November 3 is already underway and Southwest Michigan is a critical battleground:
We can flip a MAGA-held seat in the competitive 4th Congressional District, key to winning back the U.S. House
An open seat race for U.S. Senate rated a toss-up that we must retain if we’re going to flip the Senate
Open seat races for the three statewide offices - Governor, Secretary of State, and Attorney General - that will oversee Michigan’s election results in 2028
Races that will determine control of Michigan’s state legislature
To win these races, we need you! Come join us as we knock doors to talk with Michigan voters about the issues that matter most to them, identify our supporters, and get them to the polls. We provide you with training, transportation, and a canvassing partner.
👉 Sign up for our first Michigan Midterm canvass on April 26
