Tuesday, April 21 - Postcard Writing 4/22 / May Day Training Call 4/23 / Oppose New HUD Rules
Community Action: Postcard Writing 4/22 and 4/29
It is time to make our voices heard where it matters most. Join us for two upcoming community postcard campaigns. We are coming together to demand "ICE out of Chicago," an end to conflict with Iran, and a stop to unchecked executive power grabs.
Your participation ensures our representatives know exactly where we stand on due process and local sovereignty. To make the evening even better, bring 10 stamps to exchange for a pint of Old Style!
We provide the postcards; you provide the message. Let’s pack the house, grab a drink, and flood their desks with our demands for justice and accountability. See you there!
👉 Join one of two upcoming sessions:
Belmont Tavern (3405 W. Belmont Avenue) on Wednesday, April 22nd at 6:00 PM
Avondale Bowl (3118 N. Milwaukee Ave.) on Wednesday, April 29th at 6:00 PM

Indivisible Action: May Day Training Call 4/23
This May Day, we’re calling for a Day of Action & an Economic Blackout
This May 1st — International Worker’s Day — we're flexing our economic power as workers, students, and everyday people to send a clear message to Trump: we will not do business as usual while they trample our rights, terrorize our communities, and drag us into a senseless war in Iran.
Join Indivisible and and Grassroots Democracy for a training on what a day of action on May Day really means. Find out how you can participate in nonviolent, economic disruption on May 1 and learn more about the strategy behind economic noncooperation and why we’re taking action now.
👉 Join the training call on Thursday, April 23 at 7 p.m. CT.

Community Action: Oppose New HUD Rules
Housing Action Illinois is urging individuals to submit a public comment opposing HUD’s proposed rule that would allow Public Housing Authorities and Project-Based Rental Assistance owners to impose work requirements and time limits on assisted households.
A recent analysis estimates that a two-year time limit could result in 3.3 million people losing rental assistance, including 1.7 million children. We’re asking organizations to submit a comment urging HUD to rescind this harmful rule and instead maintain current policy, which allows mixed-status families to live together in HUD funded housing.
👉 Submit a public comment here by Thursday, April 30 at 5 p.m. Get talking points from here.

While some of these Daily Actions come from our own work as Indivisible Chicago Alliance, others are from our many partners working to advance the progressive agenda. We invite you to join us in supporting their work. Postings from community partners do not imply Indivisible Chicago Alliance endorsement of specific policies and positions.
