Tuesday, March 4 - Events Today! / Support Ukraine / Indivisible Chicago Immigration Brief

Partner Action: Events TODAY!

Betty Alzamora of Indivisible Chicago has a clear message: we have to stay in the streets. We have to maintain a sustained presence, displaying publicly that we will not allow Trump, MAGA, Musk and his billionaire crew to steal from the poor to give to the rich.

Through protest we can make sure that the horrific reality of a Trump presidency is always in the face of everyday folks. This can help move public perception and lead to sweeping change at the midterms.

👉 We hope you can join us at an event (or two) TODAY!

Partner Action: Call on Congress to Support Ukraine

In an Oval Office meeting meant to coordinate a peace plan, Trump and Vance threatened to abandon Ukraine and insulted President Zelenskyy. They criticized him for being “disrespectful” and not adequately thanking the U.S. for its support. Trump abruptly ended the meeting, asked Ukrainian officials to leave, and canceled a signing ceremony for a rare minerals deal. This performative “strong man” act jeopardizes the Ukrainian people and European security, while benefiting Vladimir Putin.

Yesterday, the Trump administration retaliated against Zelenskyy by suspending all military aid to Ukraine. Aid will only resume if Trump decides Zelenskyy shows a “good-faith commitment to peace.” This suspension of U.S. military aid is unacceptable and requires congressional action.

👉 Call and demand your representatives support a sovereign Ukraine.

Script: Hi, my name is [NAME] and I’m a constituent from [zip code]. I’m calling to urge [REP NAME] to demand the Trump administration end its pause on military aid to Ukraine. The United States should be committing security guarantees to our ally, not withdrawing support. Trump’s weird pro-Putin stance against Ukraine is disturbing, suspicious, and not aligned with American values.
